my little underground
The online shop of artist Christopher David Ryan.
We’d been sent a link a long while ago to his solar system poster – a modern classic.

Prolific and brilliant, a good shop to keep going back to for more.

josh jakus at elsewares
Josh’s felt bags and purses really caught our eye today. The media pocket in particular.

I think we’ll be nabbing a few of these in time for Christmas.

h is for home
Brilliantly priced, h is for home is a lovely treasure of a shop – filled with carefully curated vintage pieces.

There’s an absolute tonne of stuff on their website, making for a most pleasant time shopping indeed. They’ve got fabric, curtains, phones, german pottery, more coffee tables than I could shake a stick at, the best orange phone ever and lots of brilliant kitchenalia, lamps and other essential things for the mid century modern home.

The people who run it look jolly nice too.
And so should they, it’s a jolly jolly nice shop indeed.

And, spring
If you’re not a local you’ll probably need some help to shop at And, Spring – a very very beautiful Korean online shop.

And, Spring – is just such a lovely shop it is possible to while away many an enjoyable hour sifting through all the loveliness, deciding what you would buy if only you knew how.

Linnet

The thing I love most about Linnet is the way they’ve designed their site. Some people say it’s confusing and very easy to get lost. But that’s its charm. Imagine, if you can, a big shop, full of wonderful treasures. The most beautiful fabrics, homewares – more beautiful than anything you’ve ever seen. It’s full of little rooms, twisted corridors, hidden doorways. It’s so easy to get lost amongst it all.

So here you are lost in this wonderful shop, every turning leads to another delight. Finding a room you were in a few minutes ago leads you back through more surprises. Eventually you find what you were looking for – but the journey through the shop has been a delight. And you’ve found so many beautiful things along the way.

Nature baby
Our favourite shop for all the kids basics – merino tops, body suits and pyjamas, Nature Baby is one of the best things to ever come out of New Zealand. Thank goodness they’ve got an online shop because we probably couldn’t manage without them when offshore.

Their organic cotton and merino clothes are made to last (by a collective in India) – our daughter has had oodles of wear from everything we’ve ever bought from there. They’ve been handed down and will be handed back for our next one – all with plenty of life left in them yet.

If you can pay a visit their Grey Lynn and Newmarket shops are a delight to visit. There are lots of toys that aren’t on their web site and they’ve got play areas full of fun distractions so you can shop and browse to your heart’s content. Everything in Nature Baby; cotton, babyfood, nappies – it’s all organic by default.

Just released – their new Kid Nature label. Everything we know and love about Nature Baby, now for big kids too!

Enfant terrible
In our top two favourite places to buy for children (the other is Nature Baby), Enfant Terrible’s offering ranges from the essentials, all in essential charcoal, to some rather non-essential but very beautifully crafted Georgina Goodman baby shoes.

Their collection is carefully curated and offers the best selection of children’s fashion, toys, books and interiors we have found anywhere. Labels include le vestiaire de jeanne, jess brown, flora and henri, mor mor rita, pip-squeak chapeau etc, tuss, hut up, enzo mari and bruno munari.
